    Junior High School Assistant Principal
    10-month position


    Minimum Qualifications:  Professional Educator Licensure (PEL) with a General Administrative Endorsement K-12
    The successful candidate will assist in day to day activities for middle school building with approximately 800 students and 55 plus faculty and staff members.  Daily duties will include the following: student supervision, including before and after school, event supervision, student discipline, parent communication, academic planning, community involvement activities, building and grounds oversight.  The ideal candidate will facilitate a school-wide culture of excellence and high student achievement, assist with teacher/staff evaluations, teacher coaching, professional development and provide a strong background in Professional Practices.

    Elementary Classroom Teacher (Multiple Openings)

    Positions require Professional Educator Licensure (PEL) with an Elementary Education Endorsement(s) to instruct K-5 students. The successful candidate must display an excellent understanding of State standards, differentiated instruction, and assessment strategies that ensure student growth.      Part-Time Elementary General Music Teacher

    The successful candidate would be responsible for effective general music instruction of elementary school students.  The candidate must possess a Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Music Endorsement for grades K-5.     Elementary Physical Education Teacher

    Minimum Qualifications:  Professional Educator Licensure (PEL) with a Physical Education Endorsement for Grades K-5.  The successful candidate must work in a professional, collaborative environment and must display excellent content area knowledge, safety prevention, and positive communication skills.  A willingness to coach is desired. Interested candidates may fill out an application on the district website (www.marionunit2.org).  Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019.

     Marion Junior High School English Language Arts Teacher

    The successful candidate would be responsible for effective Language Arts instruction of Middle School students.  Candidates must possess a Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Language Arts Endorsement for Middle School Grades 6-8.  Additionally, the candidate must be knowledgeable of State Standards, PARCC/IAR assessment, effective instructional practices, and positive student management techniques that ensure student growth.  Interested candidates may fill out an application on the district website (www.marionunit2.org).  Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019.

      High School Mathematics Teacher

    The successful candidate would be responsible for effective mathematics instruction of high school students.  Candidates must possess a Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Mathematics Endorsement for high school grades 9-12.  In addition, the candidate must be knowledgeable in state standards, assessments, effective teaching practices, Response to Intervention and positive student management techniques that ensure student growth.  A willingness to coach or sponsor a club is desired.  Interested candidates may fill out an application on the district website (www.marionunit2.org).  Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019.

     High School Family and Consumer Science Teacher

    Minimum Qualifications:  Candidate must hold or be able to obtain an Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) for grades 9-12 with an Endorsement in  Family & Consumer Science.
