My name is Beth Mitacek, and I’m so excited to be a part of the Marion School District family.  I enjoy working with the students and faculty at Jefferson and Washington Elementary School.  It is so exciting and rewarding to see my students succeed at new skills they have practiced so enthusiastically.  I received my bachelor’s degree from SIUE in 2008, and completed my master’s degree at Augustana University in 2015.  Prior to working in Marion, I taught junior high math for 8 years. My husband and I currently live in Harrisburg with our son, Thomas, and our dog, Sawyer.  We enjoy going to Blues and Cardinals games and spending our free time at Lake of Egypt.
