Welcome to Kindergarten!!  What an amazing year we are going to have learning and working together!  This will be my sixteenth year teaching and my second year teaching Kindergarten at Washington.  I have taught Pre-Kindergarten for seven years, Early Childhood Special Education for six years, and Second Grade for one year.  I graduated from Southen Illinois University in Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education.

On a personal level, I am a wife and mother.  My husband Clay Thompson and I have four children.  All of our children have attended or do attend Marion Unit 2 schools.  Steven Thompson is a 2018 graduate of the Marion High School.  He is currently a junior at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky.  Isaiah Thompson is a 2020 graduate of the Marion High School.  He is currently a freshman at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky.  Zachariah Thompson is a sixth grader at the Marion Junior High School. Eli Thompson is a fourth grader at Washington School. I am extremely pleased with the public education that our four children have received through the Marion Unit 2 School District.  

I am extremely excited and honored to be a Kindergarten Teacher at Washington Elementary School!  Let's make this the best school year ever!
