As the principal of Marion High School, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year at MHS. We are all excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning. It is our mission to help everyone feel welcome, connected, and a part of the MHS family. Additionally, we strive to challenge each student to grow in his or her academic, athletic, and social abilities and to be college and career ready by the end of four years. At Marion High School, we have a great team of administrators, teachers, and support staff who are dedicated to help our students and engage them in learning. We believe that all students should graduate from high school prepared for the demands of postsecondary education, meaningful careers, and effective citizenship.

I am honored to serve as the principal of Marion High School. It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth. Please, always feel free to contact me at 618-993-8196 or at

    Best regards,

    Joey Ohnesorge

    MHS Principal
