MHS Library Wins Grants!!!
The MHS library was selected by the Illinios School Library Media Association as 1 of 42 schools (out of 200) to receive a set of Abraham Lincoln award books from Library Book Selection Services - a $350 value!!
The MHS Library was selected by the American Library Association's Youth services division to receive a set of Teen TopTen books for 2014. Total value of the grant is $350!!.
The libraries in Marion Unit #2 recieved a Back to Books Grant sponsored by the Illinois State Library. Our project is called the 3 E's of Library- Enjoyment, Education and Enrichment. With these fund the libraries purchased non-fiction and fiction books to suppliment the cirriculum and our collections: The High School purchased books to meet the goals of Common Core in the areas of English & Math, as well as books to meet STEM initiative in Science.

The MHS Library serves it's 1,200 students and 100 faculty & staff on a daily basis to meet their library and Audio Visual needs. With our updated library management system - Follett Destiny, students and staff can access our collection of over 10,500 items from school or home at any time.
