Please Note!

This year students need to bring their own set of earbuds or headphones to the computer lab.

  • Knd-2nd: Headphones only
  • 3rd-5th: Headphones or earbuds
These need to have the mini-stereo plug & at least a 3 foot cord, at Jefferson it will need to be a 5 foot cord. These can be sent in a Ziploc bag with the student's name on the bag & will be kept in his/her teacher’s room until lab time. Programs we use need sound, and each child only needs to focus on what their own lesson is teaching them.

I am pleased to be a part of the Marion CUSD #2 Itinerant Staff. As the K-5 Technology Instructor, I work with all K-5 students and I travel to each of the four Marion elementary buildings. I have each classroom once every two weeks. Students are learning how to use programs that are part of most computers' standard software (i.e., paint) as well as the various components of the Microsoft Office suite. The 1st-5th grade students are developing their keyboarding skills. They use various programs on either the schools' servers or use online programs such as Dance Mat Typing & TypingWeb Tutor to acheive keyboarding accuracy. While Kindergarten students are working on fine motor skills using a USB mouse as well as locating, naming, & using various keys on the keyboard.
