 Please Note! This year students may bring their own set of earphones, earbuds, or headphones to the computer lab. These need to have the mini-stereo plug & at least a 3 foot cord, at Jefferson it will need to be a 5 foot cord. These can be sent in a Ziploc bag with the student's name on the bag & will be kept in his/her teacher’s room until lab time. The schools are providing a set of headphones for each computer. However, these must be shared by any student who uses the same computer. If you prefer your student not to share this item, then you need to provide a set for your child. Programs we use need sound, and each child only needs to focus on what their own lesson is teaching them. |
I am pleased to be a part of the Marion CUSD #2 Itinerant Staff. As the K-5 Technology Instructor, I work with all K-5 students and I travel to each of the four Marion elementary buildings. I have each classroom once every two weeks. Students are learning how to use programs that are part of most computers' standard software (i.e., paint) as well as the various components of the Microsoft Office suite. The 3rd-5th grade students are continuing to develop keyboarding skills using the district's KeyBo software. While Knd-2nd grade students are working on fine motor skills using a USB mouse as well as locating, naming, & using various keys on the keyboard. The 2nd grade students also start using the KeyBo program during the second semester. |
