Welcome to Lincoln Media Center

The Lincoln School Media Center serves the entire student and teacher population. The print holdings in the media center collection total approximately 10,000 copies of fiction, non-fiction, reference, and professional books. Professional journals are provided for staff use and student magazines are also available. Materials are checked out via the Follett Circulation automated system. The media center houses 8 Internet accessible computers for patron use. The video collection totals approximately 500 video-cassettes and DVDs. These videos aide teachers in curriculum supplementation. Additional materials and equipment in the media center for teacher use includes: digital cameras, a data projector, overhead projectors, a digital video camera, CD/Cassette players, and study prints. The media center is indeed a place for inquiry for the students and staff of Lincoln School. Media programming includes story time where students are introduced to award winning books and authors, location and care of materials, and instruction in the use of the automated card catalog. Selection criteria for all media materials includes feedback from students and staff, professional reviews, and alignment to the curriculum.
