ELEMENTARY REGISTRATION SCHEDULE Registration for all first through fifth grade students (including Creal Springs first through eighth grade students) will be held in the cafeteria at the Marion Junior High School at 1609 West Main Street. Parents should enter the building off of the west parking lot. Tuesday, August 4 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (Please Note: Kindergarten students DO NOT ATTEND this registration. Letters with detailed registration information will be mailed to all kindergarten parents prior to the beginning of school.) JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL SCHEDULE PICK-UP Sixth Grade Monday, August 10 8:00 am - 11:00 am HIGH SCHOOL SCHEDULE PICK-UP Freshmen Monday, August 10 8:00 am - 11:00 am *9-12 Instructional Materials fee is $28.00 payable on schedule pick up days. *Freshmen will purchase one lock for PE and one for hall locker at a cost of $7.50. *P.E. uniforms (sizes S through XL) may be purchased for $15.00; size XXL for $17.00; size XXXL for $19.00 ID/yearbook pictures will be taken on schedule pick up days. * (Picture packages may be ordered and must be paid for on schedule pick up days.) *All students will pay class dues of $5.00. *Separate checks required made payable to Marion High School. STUDENT PHYSICAL/IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENT Illinois School Code requires that students must receive a physical examination prior to entering kindergarten, sixth grade and ninth grade. Previously, physical examinations were required prior to entering fifth grade. This examination must include upto-date information on immunizations as required by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Any student that participates in school athletics is required to have a physical examination annually. Law provides that kindergarten students show proof of lead screening. All students entering the fifth grade must show documentation of the Hepatitis B vaccine series. |
