Mileage Club
This program is sponsored by Heartland Regional Medical Center and occurs in November.  Each student has the opportunity to walk a route designated by the hospital.  As students walk they earn rewards for their efforts.  At the end of the program students' cards are selected to earn bigger prizes.  The goal of the program is to promote physical fitness.

Band
Beginning band starts with 5th grade and is conducted by Todd Graham.  The students are tested in the fall to be eligible for the program.  Those selected have private instruction once a week at Longfellow.  Beginning band performs a final concert in the spring.
