Membership in PTO is encouraged for all parents, guardians and teachers. A nominal fee will be collected at the beginning of the school year from parents and teachers that wish to join. There are regularly scheduled PTO meetings each school year. These meetings will be held on a weekday evening beginning at 7:00 PM. PTO volunteers help with many activities during the school day, such as: Picture Day, RIF book distributions, Book Fairs, American Education Week activities, Washington School Publishing Company, birthday recognition, fundraisers, classroom parent volunteers, bulletin board paper cutting, Open House, Picnic Day activities, and many other programs and activities that enhance and improve the educational environment for our children.
